South Sudan's Minister of Culture meets with the Egyptian Ambassador to promote cultural cooperation.

Sarah Nyanath Elijah Young, Minister of Culture, Museums and National Heritage of South Sudan, received Ambassador Hazem Mamdouh Fawzi, Egypt's ambassador to Juba.
This came during a visit to discuss ways to enhance cultural cooperation, strengthen bilateral relations, and build trust between the people of South Sudan and Egypt.
The meeting focused on several areas of cooperation, including institutional capacity building, museum infrastructure development, digital transformation, archives preservation, and joint cultural celebrations.

Regarding institutional support, the two sides discussed ways to provide technical assistance and knowledge exchange to strengthen cultural institutions in South Sudan.
They also discussed the possibility of Egypt contributing its expertise in museum design, preservation and development, in addition to providing specialized training for workers in the field of culture and heritage in the sister country.
The discussions emphasized the importance of protecting historical records through the digitization of national archives, a step aimed at preserving valuable documents and facilitating access to them for the public and academics.
In addition, both sides proposed organizing a joint cultural day between the two countries to celebrate the music, arts, history and traditions of both countries, and to promote understanding between the two peoples.
The meeting also emphasized the importance of the Nile River as a shared heritage linking the two countries, with both parties expressing their commitment to preserving the river’s cultural and environmental heritage as a symbol of unity and interconnectedness from Juba to Cairo.
Egypt's ambassador to South Sudan meets with the Minister of Defense
Ambassador Hazem Mamdouh Fawzy, Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt in Juba, met with Lieutenant General Chol Thon Balok, Minister of Defense and Veterans Affairs in the Government of South Sudan.
This took place in the presence of the Defense Attaché, Colonel Ahmed Hasab El-Nabi. The meeting addressed ways to enhance bilateral cooperation between the two countries in relevant fields.
During the interview, the Egyptian ambassador affirmed Egypt's commitment to achieving peace and stability in South Sudan.
For his part, the minister affirmed his country’s pride in Egypt’s historical support for South Sudan in various fields since its inception, expressing keenness to strengthen cooperation during the coming period in order to achieve common interests.
Egypt's ambassador to Djibouti holds an introductory seminar on the business forum
On another note, Ambassador Abdel Rahman Raafat, the Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to Djibouti, held an introductory seminar this afternoon at the headquarters of the Djibouti Chamber of Commerce, as part of efforts to promote the African Business Forum, which Egypt will host in the new city of El Alamein from June 25 to 27, 2026.
This took place in the presence of the Chamber President, a number of senior officials, and Djiboutian businessmen who received official invitations to participate in the forum.
The ambassador stressed the importance of the forum as a leading African platform for promoting economic and investment cooperation among the countries of the continent, noting that it is not only an occasion for dialogue on economic issues, but also represents a practical framework that brings together governments, financial institutions and the African business community to explore investment opportunities, build partnerships and promote economic integration among African countries.
