Displaced people from armed attacks in Central Africa struggle to survive.

The Central African Republic is experiencing a new wave of displacement following attacks by armed groups on a number of villages, forcing hundreds of families to flee and leave their homes in search of safer areas.

The displaced people are living in difficult humanitarian conditions due to shortages of food, drinking water and health services, while they await the arrival of humanitarian aid.

The attacks caused large numbers of residents to flee within a few days, with many forced to walk long distances carrying what they could salvage of their belongings, amid fears of renewed violence in the areas they fled from.

Difficult humanitarian conditions inside displacement camps

Displaced people are living in temporary shelters or in the open, amid harsh living conditions lacking the most basic necessities. Families are suffering from shortages of food and medicine, while children, women, and the elderly face increased risks due to malnutrition and the spread of disease.

A number of displaced people confirmed that they had lost their homes and livelihoods due to the attacks, and had become entirely dependent on humanitarian aid, which remains limited compared to the growing needs.

Aid organizations face major challenges

Humanitarian organizations continue their efforts to provide assistance to those affected, but ongoing security tensions and difficulty accessing some areas are hindering relief operations and delaying the arrival of aid to thousands of people in need.

International organizations have warned that funding shortages and deteriorating security conditions could increase the suffering of displaced people, calling on the international community to provide urgent support to ensure the continuation of humanitarian operations and to meet the basic needs of the population.

Continued violence threatens stability

The Central African Republic continues to face security challenges as armed groups remain active in a number of regions, leading to repeated waves of displacement and hindering efforts to achieve stability and development.

Observers believe that the continued violence not only affects the security situation, but also impacts the economy and basic services, and increases the population's dependence on humanitarian aid, especially in the most affected rural areas.

Calls for urgent international action

Humanitarian organizations have called for intensified international efforts to provide urgent assistance to displaced people, while strengthening the protection of civilians and ensuring unhindered access for aid to affected areas.

She stressed that improving the humanitarian situation in the Central African Republic requires, in addition to emergency aid, support for peace and stability efforts, enabling displaced people to return to their areas safely and resume their normal lives.
