South Sudan: All Africans share one continent
According to a statement from the South Sudanese embassy, Africa Day reminds us that despite diversity, all Africans share one continent, one vision, and one future, noting the country's commitment to promoting solidarity, cooperation, and friendship among African nations.
A few days ago, the Egyptian state held a celebration of the 63rd Africa Day, hosted by Cairo University, in a scene that reflects the historical status and pivotal role that the Egyptian state aspires to in its African environment, while the organization of the day comes to commemorate the founding of the Organization of African Unity on May 25, 1963.
The celebration was held under the auspices of Dr. Badr Abdel-Aty, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration and Egyptian Expatriates Affairs, Dr. Abdel-Aziz Qansouh, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and Dr. Mohamed Sami Abdel-Sadek, President of Cairo University, and with the high-level attendance of ministers, ambassadors, senior officials, public figures, representatives of African countries, and African students studying at various Egyptian universities, so that the university could renew its mission as one of the most important Egyptian soft power and academic and cultural bridges extending towards Africa throughout its long history.
Dr. Mohamed Sami Abdel Sadek affirmed the university’s belief that building the future of the African continent begins with investing in the African people, by preparing a conscious and qualified generation of leaders and researchers capable of leading the development process and achieving the aspirations of their people, in line with the goals of Agenda 2063 and the vision of the new republic under the leadership of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.
