During the national team match Egypt And Australia is in the World Cup, the Egyptian community in Djibouti is experiencing a festive atmosphere with the participation of the embassy.

With 80 minutes having passed in the match between the Egyptian national team and Australia, currently being held at Dallas Stadium in Texas, in the round of 32 of the 2026 World Cup, the score remains tied 1-1.

Egypt took the lead with a clean goal scored by Emam Ashour in the 13th minute with a perfect header, before Australia equalized with an own goal scored by Mohamed Hany, who headed a cross into his own net.

The match started quickly and strongly from both teams, and the Australian team managed to threaten Mustafa Shobeir’s goal in the 5th minute with a shot that hit the crossbar, before Ramy Rabia saved the Australian striker from a complete one-on-one in the 7th minute.

In the 13th minute, Imam Ashour scored the first goal for the Egyptian national team with a header.

In the 18th minute, Marmosh almost scored the second goal with a shot towards the goal, but the ball hit the foot of an Australian defender and went out of play, before offside prevented Zico from scoring the second goal in the 20th minute, ending the first half with Egypt leading 1-0.

In the second half, Omar Marmoush missed a clear goal-scoring opportunity after he found himself one-on-one with the Australian goalkeeper and inexplicably put the ball out of play.

In the 55th minute, the Australian team equalized with an own goal scored by Mohamed Hany into the net of Mostafa Shobeir.
