The President of Gabon arrives in Ghana on an official visit for high-level talks.

The President of the Republic of Gabon, Brice Clouteire Olégi Nguema, arrived in Accra on Tuesday, July 28, 2026, for a two-day official visit to the Republic of Ghana.
President Olusegun Ngwema was received at Accra International Airport by the President of the Republic of Ghana, John Dramani Mahama.
Also present to welcome the Gabonese president were Foreign Minister Samuel Okodzito Ablako, a member of parliament, several ministers of state, senior government officials, members of the diplomatic corps, and prominent military and traditional figures.
The long-standing friendly relations between Ghana and Gabon
This official visit underscores the long-standing friendly relations between Ghana and Gabon, and reflects the two countries’ shared commitment to deepening bilateral cooperation in areas of common interest.
The visit is expected to provide an opportunity for the two heads of state to hold high-level talks on strengthening political, economic and diplomatic relations, and to explore new prospects for cooperation in support of regional integration and sustainable development.
As part of the visit, President Oluge Nguema is expected to participate in a number of official events, including bilateral talks with President Mahama, and other activities aimed at strengthening the long-standing bonds of friendship between the two sister republics.
The visit contributes to strengthening the excellent relations between Ghana and Gabon, and reaffirms both countries' commitment to promoting peace, stability, economic cooperation, and prosperity on the African continent. The Ghanaian army held an official welcoming ceremony in his honor.
